Season: Spring Breeding: Yes Foaling: No Last Updated: 12/14/09 Next change: 12/28/09
13 DECEMBER 2009 ; To clear up some murkiness in the rules that I've been getting a lot of questions on since the season change, the official guidelines regarding character aging are as follows: Foals age one year every season (two weeks) until they are three years old. Horses over three years old age one year every four seasons (eight weeks/two months).
Hope this helped clear things up a little! And just a reminder as the holidays creep closer, I hope everyone remembers to get their Secret Santa gifts ready and keep checking back on Tinseltown for their gifts from Santa!

x x x A savage military genius with some gnarly teeth and an adorable stutter, Demo has stumbled his way into the hearts of most anybody who sees him. Tied to the Dark alliance by his parents Halloween Candy (Volta) and Jaguar Love, he is destined to become one of the most prominent Darks on Cimoron Island. Demo's posts are black-and-white logical, making him an interesting character and a great read!
THREAD OF THE MOMENT!
IN CAUDA VENENUM starring:
The dark alliance! x x x It was the rebels versus the empire in this epic battle between the forces of the former dark kings and a band of idealistic cutthroats called the resistance. Dark warriors of both sides fought savagely (someone's ear was ripped off!) in a bloodbath that ultimately ended with the deaths of the old kings. Truly warfare at its best!

Where did it all go wrong? Where did it all really go wrong? Very early on in life he imagined, right after he was abandoned by not only his mother, but his father too. He didn’t re-call ever seeing their faces. As he grew older it pained him to learn the truth… pained him that he had never seen them, been raised by them, loved by them, it pained him that his adoptive mother, Amber had passed away leaving him vulnerable and uncertain of the world around him. He set off into the world, alone and frightened as ever, until he met Rosemary. Dear, sweet Rosemary. They fell in love under dark and dangerous circumstances, she grew weary of him, tired of him, she would snap at him and demand to be left alone, she ditched him for someone a little older, someone more ‘promising’. That was until he met another young sweet heart, Zoe, he could strung up in a romance with her too, Rosemary came back into the scene and ruined it all. Other colts got involved, blood was shed and bones were broken, Cardio was eventually left bloodied and unconscious, when he came round… they were gone.
Both of them, gone. He went into hiding, tried to rebuild his strength, heal his bleeding, stinging injuries, heal his battered and broken bones. He spiralled into depression, began to starve himself… but he was relieved, for no longer than a second to find Zoe’s body. She was dead; she had been beaten brutally, pushed carelessly into a ditch in the cold and grimy Earth. He fled that scene, tried to forget that day, but he simply couldn’t, so a helping hand was needed. Volano came to his aid, a young male, around his age at that time, Cardio opened up to him, explained what had happened to his dearest Zoe. Volano was a good friend… at least, he thought. But there was more to Volano than met the eye, he was twisted, a freak, he was part of a small ‘crew’ who were fascinated in torture and killing, attacking and examining broken and dead bodies. Sick and horrified though he might be Cardio asked him to explain further, Volano didn’t, but he showed him instead. What was more sickening was the fact that they had captured Rosemary some days ago, Volano’s crew had been keeping her in hiding, they had hurt her, left her bruised and bloodied, Cardio tried to free her but Volano held him back and made him watch as his twisted gang delivered the killing blow. She was gone. Dead and bloodied like Zoe had been… it hit him at that moment, Zoe had fallen victim to this gang also, it wasn’t just mares they went after either… Snickering and cackling, a wild look in their eyes, they suddenly turned on Cardio, creeping toward him like flesh hungry beasts, they wanted to beat him and to break his bones, spread his blood like paint, create a beautifully horrific masterpiece…
He had no option; he wanted to keep his life believe it or not. He turned and he ran, he ran as fast as his fucking legs could carry him. He couldn’t piece it together, everything that had happened, everything that he had witnessed, it was like living some sick and twisted Stephen King novel. He outran those bastards, he never saw them again, he came to Cimoron Island, oh, but things didn’t get better, no. Nothing seemed to bring a smile to his face anymore. He tumbled into bed with numerous girls, knocked them up and left, he found out that they had fallen pregnant, he offered support… nobody took it. Nobody wanted anything else to do with him, he felt helpless. He was lonely, grieving. Nobody understood and nobody knew. Tugaloo, one girl he’d tumbled into bed with wandered into Godalming Heights one dust ridden day, some time after the whole comet took place. Godalming Heights had been his home; he had became a good friend to Starkwether there. Anyway, Tugaloo came along, dumped that little odd ball of a child on him, Pink Floyd was his name. He was all black with a little triangle on his hind quarter with a rainbow sprouting from it. They bonded quickly and Cardio understood for the first time what it felt like to be a father. Tugaloo left him in Cardio’s care and didn’t bother about him one bit. Pink Floyd grew up, much too quickly and after he left home, Cardio made his way to the Wasteland… he didn’t know what to do anymore, he was alone, again, there didn’t seem to be much more for him in life. So, he left.
But, he quickly came back… and he headed to the Crater, letting his legs carry him wherever they please, it was there he met a girl of gold, white and deep, glorious blue that seemed troubled and upset. She would die out in the heat too, she was fallen, she had an injury and he quickly rushed to her aid without a moment’s hesitation. He assisted her out of the Crater and said his goodbyes before leaving, maybe a little too quickly… he recalled throwing glances back at her as he walked away, drawing nearer and nearer to the bloodied horizon, recalled her beauty and the way her voice sounded so smooth and soft like velvet, recalled her beauty, he had never seen a girl of gold, white and blue until that day, he doubted he’d ever see a girl like that again. He walked away; he doubted very much he would see her again. He found himself a home though, so he wasn’t so useless in the end, Hollow Beats Hospital. It was… wonderful. It was run down, abandoned and empty, pretty much like himself in a way. He re-called the ghostly echoes down the corridors, recalled the way he jumped and flinched at each sound as he strolled his way down those dimly lit corridors for the first time. He grew to love it. That was his home… his home, all his. He shared it too, with several mares, he met one or two of them, spoke to them, but they didn’t stay. Everyone left in the end. All but one… he re-called seeing her turn up and his doorstep, he couldn’t possibly forget her face, her luscious golden hair… he couldn’t possibly forget that beautiful, soft voice, the way she smiled. Funsani. He had fallen for her, much too quickly, but he didn’t realize it until he whispered her name down the corridors and prayed out aloud that she hadn’t left like the others, she pushed her way through those doors and came to his aid, she stood right beside him and told him she was right there, she wasn’t leaving.
And what did Cardio do? He left. He left her behind, and the Hospital. He couldn’t cope. He didn’t want to get attached to her and he could feel himself become attached far too quickly, his red and grey eyes searched her face frantically, looking for something, anything. He saw how soft her eyes were, he listened to the sound of the lights buzzing away quietly, the sound of the hammering rain outdoors, the sound of water droplets falling from his skin as he trudged his way through the heavy, falling rain into the ‘safety’ of the dimly lit Hospital. Turning briskly on his heels he had practically charged out of the door, charging into the rain, his hooves crashing down into gloopy, muddy puddles as he ran, he didn’t look back, he ran and he ran… through that abandoned, old ghost town, listened to the sound of broken, creaking doors slamming against their door frames in the fierce, strong, howling winds, felt the rain hammering down on his body like a hundred thousand bullets. He recalled the horrid feeling of his hair plastering to his skin, recalled the feeling of warm tears streaking down his face, getting lost amongst the droplets of rain water streaking down his face. He ran and he ran and he ran.
Ran until he collapsed, he stirred and came back around when the rain had stopped, he was considerably drier at that point. He had made his way to the Memory Meadows, but he didn’t wish to get caught up in memories, he panicked and fled from Cimoron Island once again. But, he was back again… he had come back today, he didn’t know why, but his heart brought him here… or was it his head? He felt a permanent ache in place of his heart, his head throbbed with a thousand thoughts, good and bad, the bad washing out the good and memories came and grasped him by the throat like a powerful chokehold. The sea looked so glorious today he noticed as he clambered and stumbled his way up the Bachelor’s Cliff. “Such a beautiful day,” he cried out above the waves. He was losing it, he could feel himself, months ago, slipping in and out of depression, so many maddening thoughts came to him, he needed a release… a permanent release. And this would be it. He lowered his head as he reached the edge of the Cliff, he seemed almost confident, perhaps too confident, no fear about him as he leant forward a little, peering down at the roaring, crashing waves. The skies stirred a horrible grey, clouds grew heavier with rain and a smile tweaked at the corners of his lips, lids flickering half way down his eyes. As soon as the storm started he would take the plunge. “My, it might even be refreshing,” he cooed to himself, raising his voice again above the whistling winds and crushing waves. “Lovely day to take a plunge!” he almost sneered now, his voice losing its chipper edge. His eyes slowly narrowed and he stepped back slightly, he peered up into the sky and bared his teeth, “come on, come on!” he cried. The sky gave a low rumble in response… the storm was coming…

i put your picture away, _______________sat down and cried today
How long had it been? How long had it been since she'd actually saw the sun rise above the land, illuminating everything with it's bright golden rays? She sighed, nothing had a purpose anymore. Golden eyes blinked back tears that threatened to fall, it was hard to admit that fact that everything in her life had failed. No! She would not succumb to the sadness... the depression, that seemed to be taking the population like a pestilence. He left you, he didn't want you, She winced at the harsh words that who brain spewed like volcanic lava. It couldn't be true, it just couldn't be. The memory of him running from her out into the darkness that cold stormy night, haunted her like poison. It was wedged in her memory like an arrow forcing her to remember it day by day.
Why did she have to be so emotional? Why couldn't she be like those stone-hearted mares that didn't give two shits one way or another. Perhaps it was her need to know that someone still cared for her, still cared whether she lived or died.. stayed happy or sad. "He did care, he did... he did," squeezing her eyes closed for the second time, she forced the tears back, daring herself to remain strong. The sound of squawking drew her attention to the gulls hovering above the rampant waves, the faint sounds of thunder giving off the sign of an oncoming storm. Oh how the mere thought of a storm made her heart break apart a little more, it was during a storm that he had left her standing in that dimly lit corridor.. cold and alone. Just keep moving, just keep moving, she cooed mentally, obviously standing on the narrow, rocky path wasn't the best resting spot. "God, I'm so stupid if I think he'd actually be here."
She was six now, and still hadn't done anything spectacular, Edmundotto was nowhere to be found, her companion from birth had vanished a few years back, No doubt he was probably watching her from the shadows, and she didn't blame him for leaving, who would want to be around someone who remained mopey? Damn, she hadn't been truly happy since god knows when. "Mom, Dad..." It was painful to even think about them, she'd always thought they were so happy, and yet they still died, though no one knows the full story.. a lot of people speculated it was suicide. Pah! Her dad wouldn't do something like that, sure he was a little weird, probably because of her and her brother's crazy antics.. but he wouldn't be capable of suicide. Her father had died first, and her mother a year after. It was because of her broken heart, she thought silently. Korovin, her twin brother vanished not long after their parents' death. It was during this drama that she'd met Electrocardiogram, she was so depressed that she didn't care whether she lived or died. She had fallen, and he had been there to rescue her like some sort of knight in shining armor. They had lived in the same herd and she couldn't believe she hadn't spotted him, but then again she was almost never there.
He'd vanished after that day, and soon her old home was erased from her memory, and the memories of others - blown away like the ash of of old bones. Funsani had found him again, at an old hospital that he had made his home. She was happy for awhile, and then it crumpled to dust that fateful night. You were destined to be alone, she shrugged at this, her mind had been bombarded by things like this for so long, it didn't matter. The thunder had grown closer, it's low rumbles resounding of the cliffs like a beast that had emerged from the darkest depths of hell. "Rain, rain go away," she whispered softly. She didn't want the storm to come, didn't want the water to touch her skin with it's cooling fingertips, she didn't want to be reminded of that memory anymore.
Your all alone, admit it. She gave a harsh laugh at this, so what if she was alone! It never hurt anyone, never caused one's heart to shatter like a porcelain vase. "I'm through with this pain! Do you hear me? I'm through!" Her body shuddered as she finally broke down, finally let it all out.. her pain, her emptiness. Her pitiful sobs were muffled by the black waves that crashed up against the jagged cliffs. She flinched as the cold mist of water touched her body like tiny daggers cutting away her flesh. How disgusted would her parents be if they could see her now, see her as this pitiful bag of flesh and bones that wallowed in it's own sorrow. "I can't do it.. I just can't do it," she whispered between sobs, she couldn't be strong, couldn't be emotionless. Funsani gazed at the darkening sky, her cheeks stained with her tears, did he know how hurt she was? Was he just as sad wherever he was? Did he even care? Oh, how weird she must appear, living her life like some sort of depressing soap opera.
Life, it was so sickening. She was so tired of living it, everybody thinks it's so great, and yet they never even realize the reality of it. People spend their lives searching for their significant other, they succeed and live happily ever .. she envied them. It was unfair, unfair that they have a happy life while she's stuck with one that holds no joy. "I'm so tired of all of this, and yet, I can't let it go." People would have told her to move on, find a new love and live her life to it's fullest... they obviously didn't understand. You can't find someone new, and give them your heart.. when you no longer owned it. She no longer had a heart to give, hers had been stolen by a boy of red, white, and grey so long along... and it was still his. Golden eyes were closed again, and she let her mind wander back to the brighter days of her past, when everything was great, and he was still with her. Those were the days she wished so badly would come back, the days when nothing seemed to phase her; the days when nothing hurt.. nothing.
She had just made it to the top when the rain began to fall, first as a soft drizzle, but within a few minutes the drops grew bigger, and smashed against the earth with a loud thud. Her tears no longer visible against the water that dripped from her drench body. Oh if only the rain could wash away her pain, her sorrow. It was here, during this violent barrage of rain that she spotted him, the grasp of time hadn't seemed to even grace his body with it's presence. Lightning split across the sky like the glimmer of swords raising arms before it's enemy. It was him, truly him. "This.. this is just... just... a dream," she whispered, her longing for him was so great, she was just imagining this. No! This wasn't a dream... it couldn't be. "Cardio!" She cried out, she ran to him, splashing through the numerous puddles, and pits of mud. Oh please let this be him, and not be my imagination. She buried her face in his neck, her sides heaving with her sobs. "You came back... you came back," she breathed against his flesh, this all seemed so surreal, and yet it wasn't. "I've missed you so much, Golden eyes stared into his, as a smile tried to etch across her face. She was finally happy, for the first time in a long time.. she was truly happy.

If you tell me to jump, then I’ll die In my dreams, I’m there I always hoped that I'd learn how to fly In my dreams, I’m there
His head was held low now; breathe coming in short, ragged gasps. The wind tore at his hair, beat his body mercilessly, knocking the air out of his burning, fiery lungs. He lifted a hoof ever so slowly, hesitantly, as though he was having second thoughts. Slowly, he extended his fore leg and let his hoof hover in mid air over the cliff’s edge… his red and grey gaze fell to the screaming sea below, it was hungry, oh so hungry for him. Ready to swallow him and devour him, suck the very life out of him and fill his lungs to the brim with its ice cold water. There was almost a challenging look about him now as he drew his fore leg back, lowered his hoof back onto the cold and chipped stone and flared his nostrils, tossing his head haughtily as though he was almost challenging the sea. Challenging it to come swirling, spiralling up the side of the cliff and grab him right there and then, but no, the sea waited, impatient as ever… waited for him to jump, jump, JUMP! He thought it would be easy, thought it would take just moments… but it took so much longer, much longer than he would’ve ever have guessed. How hard could it be?
Very hard, by the looks of things. He wasn’t sure why he was so uncertain, so hesitant now. Just minutes ago he’d been so up for it! ‘Come, come on, Cardio! Time’s ticking! You can practically HEAR IT! Tick… tock… tick… tock…’ a shaky, wavering laugh escaped his lips and his hooves scrabbled at the cold and wet Earth under his feet, the rain falling, hammering down on him so hard that his body was so, so cold… so cold in-fact that he felt numb, numb to the bone. The sky swirled, beautiful colors of charcoal and a stormy ocean blue. To others it was frightening, to others it brought worry and caused them to flee into hiding, but not him, he welcomed it… Embraced it with open arms. The storm was drawing nearer and nearer. In-fact, it seemed it had arrived early. He could hear it, the rumbling and the crashing of the thunder and lightning in its never ending duel. Slowly, he raised his head up high, almost smiling now as the cold, sharp winds hit his face, making his eyes sting and prickle with hot tears that remained captured in his two toned eyes.
Something from behind caught his attention, something… someone was approaching him, he turned his head in time to see the flash of the lightning fall over her body of gold, white and blue, for just a moment she shone entirely gold in his eyes. His hair was plastered to his neck, his face, it was uncomfortable, he tried his best to shake it away now, it was obscuring his vision now… she was coming closer. “Cardio!” that voice, her voice… it seemed to echo through his mind, a mind of four empty walls with nothing or nobody in it. All that seemed to be alight in his body was the adrenaline that was urging him, pushing him so closer to taking that plunge he had longed to take. There was no denying who it was. “Funsani…” he let the name roll of his tongue, it sounded so familiar, so comforting to him. His gaze softened considerably and he had a look of innocence and worry about him now but his expression quickly hardened and his eyes slowly narrowed as she ran nearer, her footsteps getting closer, closer… “You came back… you came back,” she breathed against his neck as she spoke and he couldn’t help but shudder. Her breathe was so warm against his cold, wet skin… her voice was so… well, he couldn’t even find the right words.
His eyes darted to her face and he caught her golden gaze and he froze in that moment, “I’ve missed you so much.” He didn’t have to say anything, he didn’t need to… did he? He could just tip forward, let himself hurtle down into the mercilessly, screaming sea. His throat seemed so dry now, uncomfortably and prickly, causing him to swallow hard, his voice came out surprisingly bold above the raging storm. “You shouldn’t be here… You should be at home. You shouldn’t be here, not here. Not now, no,” he furrowed his brow a little further. Home? Funsani didn’t have a home. She did once… at the Hospital. But he had to leave it behind and run away and now he was really starting to ponder over just why he did that. Suddenly, he brushed his lips against her cheek, no longer able to find the urge to touch her and be near her, “if you want to… I understand… I know, I know…” he crooned almost soothingly, though what he was on about wasn’t exactly clear… “… if you want to jump with me too, I’ll understand.” He paused and he smiled, ever so slowly, running his lips down her neck, “me and you… together… together now… and, and, and in d-death too… we could do it, couldn’t we? Me and you? We could… we could take the plunge together,” his voice was frantic now and he squirmed and fidgeted at her side.
He nudged her forcefully, jerking his head, motioning down toward the screaming seas below. His eyes seemed almost alight with one thing now, “I love you,” he breathed against her ear. He felt almost like… like he’d grown wings in that moment, like he was suddenly free, free to do what he longed to do now, and his broken and fragile mind was clearly only set on one thing, he wasn’t listening to his heart, up until now it barely felt like it had a beat, but it was too late for his heart to have a say in such a situation. Too late, too late… Suddenly, he was soaring, tumbling, falling… No sound came from him, even as his body was engulfed into the water, he was dragged down, down, down… so cold, so cold it was… Bitter and biting against his flesh. The sea tossed him this way and that before it send him hurtling to the surface and threw him with horrible force up onto the shore where he lay limp… limp and seemingly lifeless.
I leave my memoirs in blood on the floor And my fears with the nurse on the stairs I’m only going where you’ll be some day So don’t say, “Rest In Peace” in your prayers

i put your picture away, _______________sat down and cried today
She was wet and cold, her body trembled with nerves - yet none of this was important, he was here, and he was back. This meeting was so surreal, and it was like time had stopped ticking - it's hands frozen in time, not wanting to ruin this moment with it's obnoxious ticking. Nothing mattered anymore, she didn't the pinching of her nerves under her damp flesh, the trembles of her body were nothing more than common shudders. “You shouldn’t be here… You should be at home. You shouldn’t be here, not here. Not now, no." What was he talking about? Of course she should be here, here with him to only person she ever loved. "What are you talking about? Of course I need to be here… with you…" Golden eyes hinted at her confusion, why didn't he want her here? He wanted her home, but she didn't have a home anymore. "Please… please, tell me what's wrong. Your troubled, I can hear it in your voice." She closed her eyes as his lips traced over her cheek, it felt so good to feel his touch again, be able to hold him close and know that it wasn't just another dream.
The storm seemed to intensify with the changing mood, lightning continued to streak across the sky and the thunder cracked. He couldn't be leaving her again, could he? “If you want to… I understand… I know, I know…” She didn't understand, what was he talking about? If she wanted to what, nothing made sense - he was burdened by something, but what? "Cardio… I don't understand, your not making any sense. Please, just tell me what's wrong, I'm here for you… I can help." Sympathy, people had always claimed that it was the best thing anybody could give another person; yet what if sympathy wasn't enough? She wanted to hold him close, tell him everything, how she felt and what she thought. She wanted to do all this and so much more, yet something in her mind told her he wouldn't hear, that or he just wouldn't care. “… if you want to jump with me too, I’ll understand.” Jump?! Oh god, this couldn't be happening, not now... not again. Hadn't she lost enough, suffered enough? "You can't jump, there's no reason too… Don't you see, you have me and I can help you with anything, just don't…"
He was insane, everybody would see it clearly on his face, in his eyes - but Funsani couldn't. Perhaps she was blinded by love, or maybe it was her disbelief that everything could be falling apart that made her oblivious to his intentions. "I love you." No! He can't do it, he wouldn't. She felt his nudge, and watched him motion to the screaming seas that had grown wilder with the storm. "Cardio…" She stared at him with worry in the depths of her gaze, but it was too late. He was off like a bullet, running toward the edge like a child chasing after it's ball. 3…2…1… Another streak of lightning split the sky in half, it's illuminating light burst through the darkness to show a creature diving off the edge, and into the raging waters below. "NO!" She ran to the edge as the white, red, and gray body was engulfed by the rampant seas. "Oh god please, please don't let him die." She watched, and waited for him to resurface, and smile telling her that it had been a joke. A minute passed, and then another, and another and there was still no sign of him. "Haven't I suffered enough! Haven't I lost enough! Why must I lose him?! Why?!" Her eyes burned with tears, and she felt the rest of her heart shatter into a million pieces.
She'd lost everything, everything.. Perhaps she should jump, end the pain, the suffering now. She was about to turn away when a creature washed up onto the shores below, it's damp body appeared to be badly battered and broken. Please.. Please be alive, she whispered as she turned and ran down a rocky path, throwing her caution to the wind. This wasn't the time to be cautious, this was the time to react on your feeling and not your brain. It took her a mere minute or two to reach him, but it felt like years. She stared at him, watching for a sign of life, but there were none. There wasn't the slightest sound of breathing, and her gut told her she had been too late. She turned to the sky as the rain began to lighten to nothing more than a mere sprinkle, and the ocean recaged it's inner beast and grow calm again. "My love, my poor cardio," she whispered as she laid beside him on the sand, draping her head over his neck and burying her face in his dark crimson mane. "Don't leave me, I need you more than you'll ever know, she closed her eyes and began to cry, her tears rolling down her cheeks and splashing onto his body. She'd lost the game of life.

He was unconscious, he wasn’t dead. Slowly, slowly, his flanks began to rise and fall, shallow breathes they were, almost like little electric sparks had been zapped through his body and were re-igniting his organs, forcing his heart to beat quicker, forcing his lungs to work and to breathe. His eyes did not open, nor did he seem to stir. It was almost like he was… sleeping, he almost looked perfect in a weird and bizarre way, with his red and white hair plastered to his neck and face, his bruised and weary body slumped carelessly on the wet, mushy sand. The water lapping at his legs and hooves. He couldn’t seem to bring himself out of this sleep… this deep, deep sleep. It was like he was swimming, deep, deep, deep down under water, so deep that it was dark. Very dark. It was black. Black as coal. He couldn’t see a single thing; just hear the churning and bubbling of the salty water around him, here the water swishing through his hair. But… out of seemingly nowhere he heard a strangled cry, it echoed dully through the deeper water’s, stirring up subconscious memories and thoughts in his hollow and almost empty mind. His eyes twitched behind their lids, his body twitched slightly against the wind. He could hear! He heard something! He couldn’t awaken. He would panic if he could but the emotion did not rush to him, he lay helpless and near enough unconscious.
“My love, my poor Cardio,” the voice was a whisper, he could hear it, it was surprisingly loud through the water that logged his mind, his thoughts, his memories. His body could feel her face being buried into his hair; nerves were alight, sparking like crazy. She croaked something, it was muffled, he couldn’t quite pick it up but his body twitched as falling tears fell on his neck. The body beside him racked with sobs and he could hear crying. She was crying. Funsani, Funsani… she was here. She was here. He was still alive! Still alive! He could picture her now in his mind… her blue coat and her golden hair and eyes… so beautiful… yet so out of reach! If only he could wake up! Then he pictured her… his mother, the one he had never got to know, but the day she abandoned him he recalled seeing her once… before she left… only now did his mind successfully piece together what she looked like. She was beautiful, slim and lithe, not an Arabian, more like an Andalusian type mix… her hair was cherry red, long and flowing it was… her body was heavily dappled apart from the pearly white bald face and her legs were so heavily dappled that were black. Her mane had silver streaks throughout it and the tip of her tail looked as though it’d been dipped in milk… and her eyes, oh her eyes… they were a stunning steely blue grey with red on the lids, like she was wearing her finest eye shadow. Her lips and muzzle were dusted grey and there was a pink snip upon her nose. His father, he had never met, but his mind threw together the image of a pearly white stallion with thick, ragged silver hair, all shades of grey it was, he had red stockings on his front legs that faded up into dark grey, red hooves too that looked like they’d been bathed in blood. He once had greyish red eyes, but his left eye had been slashed and had been turned a pale reddish color, he could no longer see from that eye and a long, jagged ugly scar stretched up over the left side of his face… suddenly, he wanted to throw those images out of his mind. He didn’t want to think of them, no!
He wanted to thrash about, to awaken his body and stir his mind and his brain, but he remained still, breathing shallowly. It got slower and slower… he was giving up, he was powerless. But… his eyes, they twitched again, then they flew open and he winced against the scene that was stretched out around him, a calming sea and a dull, grey skies… and his eyes peered up to see her golden hair and her blue coat. Funsani! Oh, she was here! His lungs suddenly slipped to twist in a vice like grip and his stomach gave a sort of heave and before he knew it he was spluttering and coughing violently, nothing but salty, horrific tasting water spilling from his mouth, the heavy coughing strained his weakened body and his lungs, he wheezed for several moments, trying to maintain it and bring his breathing back to normal. He felt well and truly beaten and slowly he laid his head in the sand, his breathing heavier now that he had awakened. His nostrils flickered and flared like candle flames in the wind, he gave a small, strangled cry, he slowly lifted his head and shuffled around a little so he could push his head under Funsani’s and lift it, his ashen colored muzzle pressed gently into her chest before he buried it under her damp, golden hair.
“Funsani…” he drawled weakly, he trailed off and began to wheeze a little, droplets of sea water sliding off his chin. “M… My Funsani…” he croaked softly before he laid his head against her neck, “I’m sorry,” he whispered hoarsely. For what? For being an insane bastard and flinging himself off the edge of a cliff into a raging sea thinking Funsani would stupidly follow suite? “I’m an idiot…” well, that was the understatement of the century. Maybe jumping into a raging sea had done some good for him? It may have just swept away his sins … or maybe not. He seemed to almost brace himself for the moment Funsani came to her senses, upped and left. “Don’t…” he began, his voice still hoarse and quieten, like a broken, scratchy record, “don’t… g-… go…” he trailed off and lifted his head to brush his lips over her cheek, he pushed away her sodden, gold locks from her face to reveal her reddened, swollen eyes from her crying. “Stay… with me. Don’t ever leave,” his voice held a hint of desperation to it; he slumped against her and breathed in deeply, inhaling her scent which was half masked by the rain. It wasn’t entirely safe around here, as he had already demonstrated, but he had no home to offer her… he had… nothing to offer her, only his love and attention and affection. He could only pray silently that it was enough for her.

i put your picture away, _______________sat down and cried today
Dark, dark, dark, everything seemed so dark. The birth of a new life, only resulted in the death of an old one, and Funsani just couldn't handle it anymore. She'd had it all once, though many would differ in their viewpoints. She had a home, a love, and dreams of a family once… and now, well… she just had nothing. Eyes were swollen from her spells of crying, and she just felt so alone… I should have jumped with him… this world is just too unbearable without him… She stared at the calm waves lapping at the sandy shores, it was hard to believe that those same waves had once been violent, and rampant. She watched them crash up, then fall back and began to feel herself transferred to another place in time, a more happier time. She was a child again, her brother was there with Fredrick, her mother and father was there… Edmund was there… Everybody she had ever truly loved in her childhood were all there…laughing. They were just laughing, their voices filling the warm air around them, she laughed too… for an unknown reason she laughed along with them. It felt good, felt good to laugh when she hadn't in so long. I feel happy, truly happy… Aye, and yet the happiness was short lived. She had stopped laughing now, and just watched, just watched to others continue their 'tyrade' of laughter. She watched, a feeling of deep sadness welling up in her soul, her dad… her dad was fading, fading away like he wasn't even there. "Daddy! Daddy don't leave me! Don't leave me, not again…" She ran to his side, but he was gone. Her mother, brother, frederick, and edmund all began to fade away… Until finally she was in this 'happy, warm' place by herself, feeling lost and alone.
