Season: Spring Breeding: Yes Foaling: No Last Updated: 12/14/09 Next change: 12/28/09
13 DECEMBER 2009 ; To clear up some murkiness in the rules that I've been getting a lot of questions on since the season change, the official guidelines regarding character aging are as follows: Foals age one year every season (two weeks) until they are three years old. Horses over three years old age one year every four seasons (eight weeks/two months).
Hope this helped clear things up a little! And just a reminder as the holidays creep closer, I hope everyone remembers to get their Secret Santa gifts ready and keep checking back on Tinseltown for their gifts from Santa!

x x x With her being one of the most voraciously active members on the site, it's almost impossible not to know Fate! With an arsenal of knockout characters like Zeus, General Jett and Frankly Not and a growing talent, she is definitely one of CI's rising stars.
x x x A savage military genius with some gnarly teeth and an adorable stutter, Demo has stumbled his way into the hearts of most anybody who sees him. Tied to the Dark alliance by his parents Halloween Candy (Volta) and Jaguar Love, he is destined to become one of the most prominent Darks on Cimoron Island. Demo's posts are black-and-white logical, making him an interesting character and a great read!
THREAD OF THE MOMENT!
IN CAUDA VENENUM starring:
The dark alliance! x x x It was the rebels versus the empire in this epic battle between the forces of the former dark kings and a band of idealistic cutthroats called the resistance. Dark warriors of both sides fought savagely (someone's ear was ripped off!) in a bloodbath that ultimately ended with the deaths of the old kings. Truly warfare at its best!

Left to rot but kept whole by an unseen shield, Borden Heights is a thirty-acre piece of the 1700’s, untouched by modernization and undestroyed by the natural elements. On the outskirts of the property is a moor, unmaintained and overgrown, the wispy, brittle grass mingling with the heather in the constant shroud of fog. A small stone bridge still holds across the murky water. A supernatural aura holds the moor; hurt and past atrocities seem to humidify the atmosphere, and a severe gloom loads pressure on the backs of residents and visitors alike. The outside of the house once had many flourishing gardens – now withered, most of the remaining foliage is scattered across the stone paths in the form of dry dust. Unkempt hedges transform a brick sidewalk into a corridor, seeing as the only trimming they ever get comes from bodies pushing past them and knocking leaves off in their wake. The once-vast vegetable garden may sprout an herb now and again, but the soil is mostly infertile, and even those which manage to grow are usually strangled by weeds. Curiously, there is one thriving plant in the garden: a single rosebush, of the Lincoln variety. These dark red roses are not the most fragrant, but they’re an almost welcome splatter of blood on a dank grayscale mural. The house itself is still a grand one, the dark, Gothic appearance of the original structure ever intensified by its decrepit condition. Ivies and moss cling to and climb up the stone walls whilst various lions and gargoyles send a silent roar into the dense air from their rooftop perches.
The inside of the house is as the outside – old and weathered, but with a dignified and preserved grandiosity. Dilapidated but still solid furniture and musty burgundy wallpaper characterize each room, as well as complex ornamental crown molding Complete with a kitchen, a vast parlor and a second floor, a maroon carpet with gold trim paves out the labyrinthine halls. Up the stairs, which are unsurprisingly worrisome as to the stability, there is a particularly long, wide hall. Eleven doors to eleven furnished rooms dent the walls – five smaller rooms on each side, and the King and Queen's double-doored master bedroom appropriately at the head on the very end.

The sky is like an endless sea of glittering diamonds, draped like curtains over the sleeping world. A breeze blows chill winds from the north, but the night is relatively warm. In such an atmosphere, the silence of this world could not be forgotten. For reasons unknown, sunsets are more mesmerizing here than elsewhere on Cimoron Island. So rich in color, it's almost as if the sky were burning with the heat of flames. The territory lands here are rich in wonderful color, endless golds, reds and rich browns almost as if it were stuck in Autumn year-round. The meadows have long blades of thick golden grass. A very welcoming feeling surrounds you, but in all this bliss where is the horror, will you stay to figure things out?
Avenues and Alleyways, the place where legends are made and were former legends rest their weary heads. Equines of past royalty lingers deep within the foggy grasp of the never-ending maze and dead ends, hiding away from the prying eyes of the world. And deep within the heart of it all, new blood pumps through the maze, generating new legends and myths that have yet to be seen.
The land seems to have a core of its own, functioning somewhat differently from the rest of the places surrounding it on all sides. No odd noises arise from the green hedges, silence seems to envelope the land yet, with every passing second, bodies are shuffling to and fro, carrying on with their daily tasks. Ten foot tall hedges rustle as someone or something passes within the trail on either side, quiet murmurs can be heard at almost all hours of the day and yet, nothing becomes overly loud or unusual.
Now, now, about the place. Constructed like a maze, Avenues and Alleyways is essentially that, only far more dangerous. There are the usual dead ends but, with a twist. Some dead ends contain booby-traps that give way to shallow graves – yes graves, for you probably won’t ever get out. Although, the maze is so large that most of the place is unexplored.
Home to the son of a former light king, Avenues and Alleyways is overlooked by the careless and sometimes forgetful husband, Saving Andy and his quite charismatic and unusual wife, No Sir. And yet, the importance doesn’t stop there. Do you dare to take a look inside and find what lies on the other side of the hedges?
Here an old abandoned castle lies in sem-ruins amidst a large over-grown forest. Thick heavy mist hangs just above the ground creating an almost eerie scene. The castle itself is large and extensive with parts crumbling away or in some cases reduced to piles of rubble. The parts of the castle still in tact create an almost 'homey' feel to the lands. That would be if it weren't for the eerie surroundings keeping trespassers at bay.
The Fairytale King Duke His Damsel in Distress ___
PLEASE - enter softly, friends of the herd. for fear and anger must be left outside the boundaries of this house. for while the master of these lands is a passionate, and worthy creature, he maintains a land of peace. but you are warned. one wrong step and you will quickly feel the wrath of those who dwell here. but those who mean no harm, welcome! to the house of the rising sun. here the dark never penetrates the light. for hundreds of years the clouds had covered this land, hiding it from the eyes of the world. until the dove fidelity led inferno to the banks of the lake.
ASTRiX LAKE - clear, so pristine and beautiful. teal waters that seem only inches deep when tens of feet below rests the pebbled bottom. large trout and other smaller fish swim in lazy pleasure, for there is nothing here to bother them. no predators live within the area. covering almost 100 acres of land, the lake is simply enourmous. settled between three small mountains, a light, fluffy mist always floats a few feet above the waters. it is so beautiful. mineral content in waters is high, giving it an almost flavored taste. legend says that those who drink the waters for a year will live forever. though of course this is just nonsense. fantasies told to young foals. but near the center of the lake lies a huge cloud formation. from any part of the bank of the lake, what lies in the center cannot be seen.
THE TUNNELS - there are four. the entrances at the four compass points around the lake. north, south, east, and west. nestled into the mossy, moist ground around the lake are rock clusters hidden among tall redwood trees. dipping down into the warm ground, they travel under the lake to meet at the center. the tunnels are slightly taller than the average horse, and thick moss lines the side. in the tunnels grows a plant rarely seen across the world. a carnivorous bulb the size of a large foal grows off a vine as thick as a horse's leg. they lie in wait, hoping for the snack of the occasional small mammal that wanders in.
iN THE CENTER - rests a huge, dormant volcano. towering over the valley with a perfect movie scene cone surrounded by thick clouds. the sun shines down on the peak, the entire volcano is hollow. a shell of what had originally held liquid lava. the sunlight shines down into the crater/volcano, and seems to multiply when it hits the walls of the hollow mountain. tiny gems encrust the walls, sending glittering rainbows of light cascading down onto the ground below. it is here that the herd of inferno makes their home. it is sheltered enough that snow and rain does not effect the horses inside, and the tunnels allow for draining during the wettest parts of the year.
MYSTERiES - surround the volcano. the side that faces the south is still warm, and the waters around the edges where lake and land meet are warm, and could be considered a hot springs. but while the south side is warmth, the north is freezing colt. an icy wind blows against the sides, and bits of frost cluster around the rocky sides. there is no logical explanation for this strange occurrence, though the horses of the herd like to believe that the land is a harmony of the elements. all four brought together in peace.
With further erosion and natural re-modeling, Windswept Canyons has once more been swept beneath the carpet on Cimoron's radar, to a point. Parts of the canyon is still there, the grizzly scene of the avalanche back in '06 to be particular. Something in it's topography will not let that fade away, or the long decayed bodies that lay beneath it. However the river that flowed through the canyons has expanded, and grown in monsterous porportions, filling a fjord's worth of the canyon. One wrong step on the ledges around it will send you spiraling down into the murky depths below. Beautiful greenery fill what parts the desert has not consumed, providing perfect feeding for the fauna. A mountian is seen in the background, as beautiful and serene as Mount Everest.. When it is not commanding respect and lives. No one hardly ever goes that way, for the tropical weather turns into blistering cold and festering winds. The desert son Paramount rules here.
